Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
We are passionate about promoting sustainable living. We prioritise the use of recycled materials in most of our products extensively using kraft recycled paper, which is distinguish to Ingredients Bar’s packaging identity. While we try for maximum sustainability we also recognise the difficulties in achieving 100% recyclability in packaging. Manufacturing limitations often pose challenges in supplying materials that need to be well-sealed against moisture, while remaining easily recyclable.Despite these challenges we remain steady in our pursuit of innovative solutions, seeking ways to improve our environmental footprint.
We encourage our customers to practice responsible waste management and make recycling a part of their daily routine. You can reduce waste by choosing products that are made from sustainable materials and have minimal packaging. In addition to recycling and choosing sustainable products, you can also reduce waste by practicing the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Reducing waste means using fewer resources and producing less waste in the first place. Reusing items, such as our paper can containers, can help extend their lifespan and reduce the need for new products. It is the process of converting waste into new materials, a critical step in reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills. By recycling we conserve natural resources, save energy, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
You can start by separating packages in different recyclable parts and non-recyclable blocks. Recyclable items include paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, and metal. Non-recyclable items should be disposed properly to prevent contamination and pollution. Please take care when separating our solid can containers into three parts: the plastic top cover (widely-recyclable), tin metal components (widely-recyclable), and the multi-layered paper body (currently non-recyclable in the UK) ensuring safety during the process.
Recycling can pose some confusion. If you’re uncertain about where to recycle certain items of waste, helpful recycling information is available on Recycle Now. Together we can make a difference in protecting the planet and promoting sustainable living. We hope you will join us in our commitment to reduce waste.
