A Finely-Powdered Icing Sugar Alternative
Icing erythritol is a multi-purpose sugar alternative that has no calories. It is found naturally in fruits and fermented foods and can also be produced commercially from cornstarch. Erythritol is a sugar polyol that is commonly used as a sweetening agent. It’s about 65% as sweet as ordinary sugar.
Icing erythritol which is also labeled as powdered or confectioners erythritol, is a fine crystal, white powder, similar to icing sugar, that can be used as a sugar substitute in various recipes. It looks a lot like powdered icing sugar, dissolves more easily than granulated erythritol and often preferred in baking because it’s less likely to leave a grainy texture in the finished product, or for dusting on baked goods. You can use it as an icing sugar replacement in frosting and for a smoother texture in soft, spoonable desserts such as mousse or other low-carb and sugar-free creations.
Our powdered erythritol conveniently comes in 250kg or 800g resealable tubes, and in bulk 5kg containers, for home or commercial applications.
