A Free-Flowing Powder with Binding Power
Dried glucose syrup is a powder mainly used in food and beverage applications. It has a long shelf life and is easy to handle, weigh and measure, compared to liquid syrups. Glucose syrup powder stops sugar crystallisation and keeps foods moist and soft. It also adds a tender texture and a mild sweetness, while improves consistency and mouth-feel.
With a dextrose equivalent (DE) value of 36 to 40, this dried glucose syrup powder is made from wheat or corn and it is approximately 28% as sweet as common sugar. It is a free-flowing powder with superior solubility and disperses easily into both dry and liquid applications.
Use 70g of dried glucose syrup as a substitute for 100g of liquid glucose syrup.
Like maltodextrin, dried glucose syrup can also be used as a source of easily digestible carbohydrates for energy replenishment.
This plant-based glucose powder offers moderate sweetness along with excellent binding and bulking properties. Available in resealable 1kg and 5kg containers.
